Map · Company brain

The company brain that runs your AI transformation.

A company brain is a living, governed model of how your company works: people, metrics, commitments, events. Your team and AI agents query it and act on it. Codos builds it on infrastructure you control and puts agents to work on it.

The definition

What a company brain is.

A company brain is the shared context layer of a business: who owns what, which metrics matter, what was decided, and what changed since. It is stored as a governed ontology of entities and relationships, not a pile of documents, and people and agents query the same source. Without one, context stays scattered across Slack, email, and meetings, and leaves with the people who carry it.

Codos does not sell the brain as a standalone product. It is the Map step of an AI transformation: the 30-day diagnostic finds the workflows worth changing, Map turns your sources into the ontology, and Run puts agents to work on it every week.

Drawing the line

Not chat with your docs.

Three familiar tools promise company knowledge. A company brain is none of them:

  • Not enterprise search. Search finds documents that mention your words. It does not know what the company decided or who owns the number.
  • Not a wiki or knowledge base. Pages go stale the week after they are written, and nobody is accountable for the drift.
  • Not a vector index. RAG retrieves the closest text, which is not the same as the correct fact.

What agents do with it

Agents that do work.

A brain that only answers questions is a better search box. The Codos company brain exists so agents can execute: they read the ontology, run the workflows leadership approved, and write results back into the same context everyone sees.

Every entity in the ontology is a card carrying its risk, its automation opportunity, and the evaluation criterion an agent must meet before its output is trusted.

The results surface in the AI Office, the weekly C-level review: annualized impact, capacity unlocked, and every initiative with an owner, a blocker, and a next action.

How it works

From scattered context to living ontology.

01

Connect

The brain connects to the sources you approve (Slack, Gmail, Notion, Google Sheets, HubSpot, Jira) and ingests what the company already produces.

02

Structure

Ingested context becomes an ontology of five entity types: company, people, metrics, commitments, events. The raw data stays attached behind them.

03

Stay current

Routine updates happen automatically as connected sources change. Facts that matter (decisions, owners, commitments) are confirmed by a named person on your team. You own the brain. We operate it with you.

04

Power the Run

The Run phase works off the brain: agents execute the ranked backlog and report into the weekly review, run with your leadership by a fractional Chief AI Officer.

The first three columns return text for a human to act on. A company brain maintains a current, governed model of the company for agents to act on. That is also why it runs on your infrastructure, not in someone else’s cloud.

Questions buyers ask

Before we begin.

A company brain is a living, governed model of how your company works: the people, metrics, commitments, and events that your team and AI agents query and act on. At Codos it is the Map step of an AI transformation, an ontology built on your own infrastructure that agents use to do real work, not only to answer questions.

In a Codos engagement the brain is assembled during the Map phase: the sources you approve (Slack, Gmail, Notion, Google Sheets, HubSpot, Jira) are connected, and an ontology is built from them. Before that, the 30-day diagnostic determines which workflows are worth mapping.

No. Enterprise search finds documents that mention your query, and a knowledge base stores pages people write; both leave the acting to you. A company brain maintains a current, governed model of entities and relationships and serves it to AI agents so they can execute work.

Yes, when it runs where your data already lives. Codos deploys the brain on-prem or in your cloud, connects only the sources you approve, and agents reach only what the ontology allows.

Start with the map

Your company, mapped in 30 days.

The 30-day diagnostic builds the map: workflows, owners, and an ROI-ranked backlog. The Map phase then turns it into your company brain, on infrastructure you control. Not ready for a call? Start with the self-serve assessment.
